Special Programs and Activities

Children's MinistrySonbeams Learning Center is our preschool and it is open to children one year old through Pre-K. Hours of operation are Monday – Thursday from 9am to 1pm.

Children's Community Easter Festival.   Every year, on the Saturday just before Easter, we celebrate! Everyone is invited to join us as we celebrate Easter in a very special way with our children.  The resurrection story is told, children can do arts and crafts, play games, get their face painted, enjoy moon-walks, participate in an egg hunt, and have a free lunch.  This is held in our lakeside parking lots and is FREE to the community.

Vacation Bible School. Every summer, Asbury is pleased to offer VBS to the community. This program is open to children age 3 through 5th grade.(2009 Registration Forms)

Bible presentation to our 3rd graders.  Each fall  we present our third grade class with their very own Bible during National Bible Week. It is a meaningful experience for a child as they grow in their relationship with Jesus.

The Hallelujah Festival is on October 31 every year.  This festival is offered FREE to the community and gives children a safe place to gather and have fun!  Lots of activities, and games. This community outreach is a combined effort with Orangewood Presbyterian Church.

Nursery care is available for our little angels during all Worship Services, Sunday School, Wednesday Night Live, and other church related activities.  If you ever have a question about nursery care during an event please call the church office at 407-644-5222.

For more information about our Children's Programs please contact our Director of Children’s Education, Carla Smith at 407-644-5222.

WELCOME TO OUR NURSERY!

What is the goal of our nursery?

GoalOur goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, loving environment for your child.  The nursery may be your child’s first exposure to our church.  Therefore, we want it to be a positive experience; one in which they are loved and cared for while you are in church, Sunday School, or other activities at the church.  Our vision is to impact Maitland, Central Florida, and the World with the message of Jesus Christ by meeting the needs of children and youth. That vision gets started here in our nursery.
