What are “Life Groups?”

Life Groups are groups of people of similar age and life stage who meet for the purpose of developing friendships and growing in their relationship with God.  Life Groups are safe places.  You will never be put on the spot to read the Bible out loud or pray in front of others.  We understand people have different comfort levels. Nobody knows everything there is to know about God or the Bible. We are always striving to grow in our relationship with God and with others.  Life Groups help us accomplish both!  At Asbury, we want people to experience and learn real answers to real life issues. In fact, that is what God wants for you as well. God never intended for us to live aimlessly in this world; that is why He gave us His word, the Bible. The best way to connect with God and belong to His church is through a Life Group.

Why should you get involved in a Life Group?

It is the place to belong for your life's journey.  You will find a group of friends who will encourage and strengthen you as you discover God's way of living a dynamic life.

Who can attend a Life Group?

Everyone! Asbury has a Life Group for every age group no matter if you are new to the church or have been attending for awhile.  There are always groups that are ready and open to receiving new people.

How do you find a Life Group?

• Visit the lobby Welcome Center on Sundays and pick up the Life Group materials.

Leadership Training – July 24 or 31, 2010
Leaders and Coaches, a training session will be held on Saturday, July 24 or 31, 2010 from 9:00 to 2:00 in the Fellowship Hall for new leaders. Lunch and childcare will be provided. Please call Jeanne Farmer to register for this if you are interested in becoming a Life Group leader.

Open Enrollment
The congregation is invited to join a Life Group. Sign-up cards are available during each worship service, registration may be made over the phone (407-644-5222) or at the church office, and by emailing jfarmer@asburyumc.com
