Many people of Asbury turn to the Prayer Ministry when they desperately need prayer for their family or friends.  The Prayer Ministry willingly and lovingly prays for anyone who calls the office or fills out a yellow card from the pew in the Sanctuary. We have many praises from all of our prayers and we are very proud of each dedicated and dependable member who prays for YOUR needs.  Recently we have had six or more members that have had to give up the Prayer Ministry for various reasons.  Now we are in desperate need of YOUR help.  Please consider becoming a part of this extremely important ministry.  It only takes a small amount of your time each week.  Please pray about what YOU can do to help us out.  Below are the three parts that make up the Prayer Ministry.

EMERGENCY PRAYER is provided by members via E-mail

The CHAPEL MINISTRY prays for the requests made on the yellow pew cards.  By taking turns you would have one or two days a month that you will be expected to pray for these requests.  You and God will be the only ones in the Chapel during this prayer time.  It is truly a spiritual experience when you realize that God has heard your prayers and they are answered!

The MONTHLY MEETING is held on the last Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the church parlor.  The meeting is for the purpose of growing through the study of God's Word as well as a time for sharing prayer and fellowship.

"WEB LISTINGS" is a password protected web site that Members of the Prayer Ministry can review and use as a guide in their daily prayer ministry.

You do riot have to be a part of all three ministries.  Many people chose to be a part of only ONE of the above.  Others chose to be a part of two or three of the above.
