Back-to-School Clothing Drive Help Needed - August 14th

The United Methodist Women are volunteering to help the Single Parent Ministry with their Back-to-School clothing drive.

This is not a "sale". Clothing and small kitchen supplies can be donated to the SPM, who will then offer them FREE to the single parents.

NO FURNITURE WILL BE ACCEPTED until the January, 2011 UMW Rummage Sale.

We will need help sorting the donated items during the week prior to the event. More details in the next newsletter. When you go through the school clothes your children have outgrown, remember the SPM !!! Adult clothing will be accepted too.

PURPOSE OF THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know the love of Jesus Christ and pass it on. To know God and experience freedom as whole persons through His love, we must develop a creative, supportive fellowship and expand concepts of missions through participation in global ministries of the church.

CIRCLES

The Executive Board meets the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 A.M. in the Church Parlor.

General meetings and special events are held from time to time throughout the year, and they are announced in Circle meetings, published in the Rider and Sunday bulletins.
